Where's it all going ?

It seems that no sooner does the weekend start and then its Monday again. Is it just me or do you find that too?

Seems like yesterday it was this ......

And this ......

The days accelerated, then it was this .........

Harvest over and gone

And now it's this. Where's it all going to?

Here's to another Shadow Shot Sunday - hope it's a good one.

  1. Yes, I find that the days pass too quickly too--but that's probably because I'm hardly sleeping at all anymore. **sigh**

    I LOVE MY SHADOW

    I love my shadow,
    My shadow loves me;
    We chat together
    And don’t disagree!

    My shadow and I
    Prefer not to shout
    As we go walking
    And rambling about.

    My shadow’s so wise,
    I ask what she thinks;
    She’s happy to share,
    And then nods and winks.

    My shadow and I
    Are best buds, you see;
    That’s why we try hard
    To always agree!

  2. Hi Molly - wow it will soon be Christmas! - the year is skating through - good idea in your last blog - setting the carrots and swedes in plug trays to start - must try that one - spuds look cool - we grew white ones - we have picked beans again tonight - so its carry on chopping here - and into the freezer - take care - Janex

  3. Hopefully, Molly, we can accelerate through winter (and the three months of retail Christmas) and wake up smiling next spring.

  4. My mother always told me that the older you get, the faster time flys. Well, now that I' OLDEN, a year goes by in a blink of an eye.:))

    O, and I live in Lubbock,home of the late and great Buddy Holly. We have a museum here of his things and a full, life size statue of him downtown. :)

  5. Love those dear old horses. Time does indeed fly. Yesterday we were young and fresh and today (speaking for myself only) we're in our second childhood. Much more fun the second time around.

  6. yes, I agree that the summer seemed to have flown by very quickly. and now our sights turn to autumn, which isn't a bad thing I guess. I do like all the seasons, and it's been raining today so we've gotten some much-needed relief. your series of photos showing the progression of summer are fantastic. I especially like the summer lane, and the horses. I've become very behind with my visits as I've been out of town this week. I'm hoping to catch up tomorrow! happy day to you Molly.

  10. Better the days pass quickly, as that is a sign that your are living and enjoying life to the full.
    I would hate to live a life where -
    "Time hangs heavy."

    Cheers....B
    PS Love Buddy Holly numbers. :)

  11. Hi Molly, Fall will not arrive here till mid-October. However, since this summer's weather has been difficult (to say the least), I am not so sad to see it go. I am looking forward to some cool breezes that do not involve hurricane winds. We have another one of those storms coming up the coast this week.

    Your pictures, as usual, are lovely and tell a good story.

  14. Thanks all for your great comments
    I hope we can accelerate through winter too, Chris - singing Santas, nodding reindeer and ding dong merrily the tills don't:(
    Bernard, BJ I'm a Buddy Holly fan too. BJ I find it so fascinating that you actually live in BH's old home town. You couldn't help being a fan.
    Arleen - you've had enough weather to last you this year. Hope the storm blowing up isn't too vicious.
    And Nelson, thanks so much for dropping by. I visited your site too but the translate button at the top of my screen didn't seem to want to work which was a bit of a pain, so I will give it another try again a bit later on.

  15. O roll on Winter Solstice and after that the days lengthen again, on the other hand the dark evenings do have one or two advantages in that we can tap into the homemade brews and sit by the flickering firelight.

  18. Love your photos. The one with the sunbeam on the water with the shadowy trees is just beautiful. Yes, every season goes by fast, (except for our dead-winter months of January, February and March).
    Cheers,
