All Leeks and no Daffodils


It's been that sort of day here today.
Delores over at Feathered Nest put a brilliant blog up on 'Wondering ......what if' ...'

And all my shallow little mind could come up with was this advert from way back. Remember it?



And that's just for those of us who've still got our own teeth.

    Our daffs are barely showing through the grass, Molly, but I did buy some leeks for soup today...... Now I'm off to bed with that dratted jingle running through my head. :-)

      Confession time - the daffys in my header pic are from last year. This year's have barely broke through the ground though one or two are in bud. That jingle does seem to have that effect, must admit. Will try and put another post up soon to send it to where it belongs.

    I remember that commercial well. Now that it is in my head again, I will probably be singing it for days.

    My daffodils are up, but I am sure I will not see a flower for three more weeks. They usually bloom right after the beginning of spring.

    I have never had leek soup. Or leek of any kind for that matter. I didn't realize you followed Delores as well. Small world :)
