Bin day today. I was just putting the bin out on that bit of the morning just between dark and light.
Over on the east, a blood red sky.
Within a few short seconds it gradually got lighter.
And lighter.
When I came back in the house, O/H was watching 'Breakfast' on TV. I said to him, 'I've just seen an amazing sunrise." As soon as I said it, one of the TV presenters said to the other, "We are receiving some amazing pictures our viewers are sending in of the sunrise."
Seems like, we were all looking at the same sky.
I didn't send my pictures in and none of them have been 'photo shopped'.
Did you see it? Hope you did - it was wordless.
Your pictures look stunning, but unfortunately, I was a hundred miles to the east of you and I was right in the middle of that mass of red and now have to suffer the after-effects.:-(
ReplyDelete"Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning."
It's really miserable here right now.
Stay warm and dry. B xx
Definitely indoor stay by the fire weather here today. Hope that you and Wesley are keeping warm too.
DeleteWe are only now, just managing to keep warm Molly. Four weeks ago the CH boiler went 'belly up'. ;-(
DeleteIt was only a week ago that we got a new boiler and the heating back - just in time for this cold snap. I now have to pries Wes away from the radiators, even for food.
And I am once again, as fresh as a daisy, as I have refused for three weeks to shower in cold water, in a sub-zero bathrooms (A good job I live on my own!.) Phwoooo!
What a relief to get your heating up and running. Three weeks without heat - a nightmare. Our house is like Siberia in some parts of it. We tend to live in 3 rooms in the winter. We have a solid fuel Rayburn (going full bore). My lovely brother-in-law brought us a trailer load of logs a few weeks ago. Really, really appreciated.Don't blame Wesley for hugging the radiator. Keep yourselves warm.
DeleteGlorious pictures....we have a very dark and overcast day going on here....we were using lights in the house this morning at 8:00am when it should have been lovely daylight.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a count down to the shortest day - not long to go now. We're having to keep our lights on most of the day as well.
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful. We have been so overcast so many days I wonder if the sun still lives up there.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it does. Hope it's not too cold where you are. Your last year's winter was something else.
DeleteThat is wonderful - thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue
DeleteBeing an early riser, and early dog walker, I often see beautiful sunrises. I consider them to be a little gift from nature. Yours are stunning.
ReplyDeleteThey are ... and so many people don't even notice.
DeleteYou got to see the real thing rather than on a TV broadcast which is so much better. What a marvelous sight you got to witness. We are having a Nor'easter storm so there is no beautiful sunrise here.
ReplyDeleteWinter, winter, winter. Keep warm and safe.
DeleteLovely shots Molly - what a start to the day - fantastic - xx
ReplyDeleteHello Jane,
DeleteIt's lovely to see that you are still surfing around the blogs. ;-)
It's been a long time since our 'comments' crossed.
All the best B xx
Hiya Jane. Hope you're both keeping well. Thank you for your card. got it this morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos! We really have had some amazing sunrises and sunsets over the past weeks.
ReplyDeleteA glorious mix of colours there, I love sunrises like that. I don't see sunrise here, the buildings are in the way, but I see plenty on the internet, so that's okay.
