Silence of the Trees

Went for a walk today

No sound, except a rook for a few seconds warning its predators to keep away.  It was wild.

  1. When the woods are silent it is a bit spooky...that one tree in particular could give you the creeps.

    1. It was more peaceful, than spooky - we walked up the bridle way on to the top road. O/H used to have to travel up that way when he went to school. The taxi would collect him, his brother and sister along the top road. Not visible on the photo of the tree, but somewhere down the bark are the initials of his cousin going back about sixty years

    1. Thank you. Doing a learning curve on You tube. There is a library of 'free' music you can choose from to go with the slide show. It was a bit 'creepier' than I would of liked but I couldn't find anything else suitable to fit the pictures.

    1. Yes, we're so lucky to have all the lovely countryside right on our doorstep. Feeling a touch of 'November' blues in the morning, but going for a walk soon dispelled it all.

  5. Wild and beautiful! I can see myself living there. Wait...you get cold and snow don't you? I'll just visit via the blog.

  6. Winters can be a bit (ahem) challenging - but the solid fuel Rayburn has a lot going for it.
