Ten minutes after I brought my coffee and my book out it was bucketing down.
The hedges are growing.
The weeds are growing.
The flowers are growing.
The rockery's growing
The roses are growing.
And when it stops raining, the gardener's going on holiday.
Good for the gardner. Your weeds look a lot better than my flowers.
ReplyDeleteMolly, I hear you. We have had rain and flash flooding. I have weeds taking over but I see none in your lovely garden. I have so much to do with these rains. I wish I could go on holiday with you. Oh Yes, I just got back. Olive
ReplyDeleteMolly - your garden looks wonderful - I can't see ANY weeds. Enjoy your holiday.
ReplyDeleteI love your poppies! What a spectacular splash of colour. Have a great holiday.
ReplyDeleteTo my untrained eye, the weeds look as nice as the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe need five and a half inches to be out of drought. I'mn not complaining. Your flowers are lovely; I especially like the deep blue iris sort among the happy white blooms.
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me. I see no weeds!
ReplyDeleteIt seems your side of the world is in a very rainy state. It can get you down, but look at the beauty it brings. I wish you a sunny break soon in the weather.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Molly..enjoy your holiday...hope the weather improves.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you write - "bucketing down". I've never heard that expression before this, and it's endearing. rain brings lushness and that's evident by your lovely photos. you're getting too much rain, and we're getting none. my area is officially in drought now, with no rain in over a month's time. feast or famine, no? happy weekend to you Molly dear.
ReplyDelete.....and still it's raining. Will it never stop? It's 'gardens open' here at the weekend, not for me, I'm glad to say.
ReplyDeleteEverything is lush and overgrown, but there's little in the way of colour.
Weeds? Don't talk to me about weeds.
...tell me about it..... my hens have even got ebbed feet!
ReplyDelete"webbed"
