A new way of life

A wild drake and duck have made their home in my garden. They have become totally tame and fearless. They happily wander around the barn conversions next door and then come to see me. Colin, my neighbour has named them, Captain Sir Tom and Vera Lynn which is pretty good as we all love seeing them.

  3. Oh, I would love to have a pair of ducks in my yard, Molly. There are some at the farm up the street from us but they never visit unless the area next to me fills up with water. I do love all visits from wildlife, well, except for a skunk.

    1. Hi Arleen - they've just sauntered past my window again this evening. Never experienced anything like this before. Keep safe and well.

    1. Hi Sue. Great to hear from you. Still deep in lockdown here so no house viewers at the moment. Not sure that I want to move now - not even going to think about it until next year xx

    1. Hello Tom. I haven't seen any squirrels here at all for a few weeks. Used to be loads of grey squirrels around. The last one I saw had a reddish tinge to his coat. Would be good if the red squirrels came back. Both you and H.I. keep safe and keep well xx
