Dance .....

Like nobody's watching.
I've always liked dancing. When I was about 17, every Saturday night I used to go to 'The Music Hall' in Shrewsbury with my group of girl friends. I remember this one night, one of the local star dancers, grabbed my hand and pulled me on to the dance floor. ME!

We danced like there was no tomorrow and everybody there stood back and clapped when the record finished. It was fun. Do you have any happy memories?

  3. Oh, how I love to dance. Like you, I went to at least one dance a week when I was a kid. American Bandstand had us all dancing in the 60's. I can still get up and dance for about half a song. After then, it is sit down time for me to catch my breath.

  4. I've always been a very self conscious dancer...clumsy and awkward. I loved the video of the couple at the wedding.

  5. Even when I could dance I couldn't dance like that.

  7. Certainly no happy memories of dancing. I'm a typical awkward bloke with arms and legs all in the wrong places.

  8. Good to see you back Molly - the village dances were big occasions too - lovely picture of the woods - bluebells have been fantastic this year - xx

  9. That couple are so together in their dancing - surely a good omen for a marriage! Memories of dancing? Well there was a time, a long time ago now, it was a friend's 30th birthday and we all went out on a girl's night to a Greek restaurant and ended up doing Greek dancing to some rather fabulous Zorba music! It was great! I love dancing too Molly.

  10. Like others lots of happy memories, but not many involve any dancing. At 17 I was the proverbial wallflower, though things improved when I got to university. But sadly I'm a poor dancer who loves watching other people dance. :-)

  11. I dance like nobody's watching - when nobody's watching! I keep my best moves (or so I think) for when I'm dancing round the living room!
