Rainbow

I  turned my head, looked up and there it was!
In the deep distant greyness of the sky,
A faint arc beyond the hill.
And then suddenly  it became clearer, vibrant, stunning, beautiful.
Closer. So close.
And in that moment, I reached out my arms and touched a rainbow.

And no-one else took any notice.

  1. We do. I wrote that poem one day when we were up at Chirk Car Boot. Still trying to clear up after the wind and the flood. John, how are things with you? Hope you're going on OK

    1. Header pic is of the engine of our ancient Vauxhall Astra. It needed a new clutch or something at the time and O/H had me take a photo of the engine to know where all the bits went back in the correct order

  5. Isn't it funny how some people are so focused on the clouds that they never experience the joy of the rainbow. But not you Molly, you look up and see all all the beautiful colors of life.

I love your pictures and sweet poem.

  7. When I see a really perfect rainbow, I often wonder what early man must have made of it. Maybe they just ooohed and aaahed like us.

    1. Perhaps they said, 'Get them oars ready - time to dock the Ark'.

  12. How lovely to touch a rainbow! We had one land in our backyard in Sydney NSW many years ago when the kids were small, I never thought then to go and touch it. I just stood there wishing the pot of gold had been at my end not someone else's.

  13. Thanks for all the Google+ comments and shares, Molly. I've only just found it on there - I confess that I don't have a clue about how that system works, I bumble on to a page and from there i am hopelessly lost! I hope you didn't think I was ignoring you.x
