Shadow Falls

Out and about today. During the last storm at the end of January, the brook which runs from the Long Mountain and along the border of England and Wales (and also along my little bits of property) became blocked and flooded my ground. Too deep and too heavy for me to deal with. Didn't know what to do. But today, on a bitterly cold East wind with buckets of sunshine, the water's found a way through. Not a vast amount, more of a trickle really and my ground is all dry again. Life is good.

Linking up with  ......... Have a great weekend

  1. That is a great shadow picture, Molly. We have been having lots of rain here also and the river and streams are overflowing and there has been some some flooding issues. I am glad to read that that your situation resolved itself.

  4. Perhaps you need to engage a nice man with a mini digger to dig it out for you one fine day now the water has gone down so it doesn't happen again. Lovely photo. Glad to see a post from you, haven't seen much of you recently.x

    1. Hello Rachel. Just been following the weather forecast doesn't look too good where you are right now. Keep safe and warm.
The water's off the ground at the moment so I'm going to leave it as a job pending for when the weather gets better. xx

  5. Lovely photo, Moll. I agree with Rachel. I think (in my limited understanding) that ditches need clearing every now and then.

    1. The ground where the picture's taken, belongs to the farmer next door and is the main part of the problem. No worries, we'll sort it once the weather improves a bit. Good to hear from you. Hope you and H.I. are keeping well.
