Snow on the Mountain

My family including my beautiful, precious grandaughter (up from London) visited me for my birthday this weekend.

We had a lot of fun in the snow. After three attempts up the bank, my son managed to ferry her back to Shrewsbury station to catch her train. Just had a phone call from her to say that she's home safe. And my son and daughter-in-law are safe at home as well. Thank you God for a fantastic birthday.

  1. That looks wonderful. Isn't it early. I remember on my first visit back to U.K. that we went up to my parents cottage on the Old Racecourse at Oswestry for Christmas. It started snowing as we arrived on Christmas Eve and in the morning was a wonderful blanket of white as far as one could see. Glad you had a great birthday. Keep warm and safe.

    2. I am an Aries, a kindred spirit in a Fire Sign. I always get on well with Sagittarians, similarly honest and to the point. x

  5. We have the same scene here. I hope all this early snow is not a sign that it will be a very white winter.

Happy Birthday, Molly. Those days are made especially wonderful when we can share them with loved ones.

    1. Arleen, thank you so much. It was lovely having my grandaughter to stay. Hadn't seen her for nearly a year. I don't think she would have got back if she'd have left it until today.
