Simple Truth

My blogging friend Becky over at http://shakinyourtree.blogspot.com/2011/12/skywatch-friday.html has put my life right now in a nutshell with the lovely poem she's just posted ..........

I did my bit for humanity and had a flu jab at the end of October. For the past ten days, I've had flu-like symptoms, been feverish, having blinding headaches and have been a right misery to live with. And they say Man flu is bad. Yes please - I'd love a cup of tea.

  1. oh Molly I am terribly sorry to learn of your health situation. do drink plenty of liquids, get lots and lots of rest, and keep warm. I suspect you're doing all of that and more. I'll be thinking of you, and hoping for a healing very soon. take good care now Molly. I love your leaning tree by the way!

  2. Oh - poor Moll. Never mind, get it over with before Christmas comes up, and you'll be cavorting around as normal in a week or so. Take care. X.

  3. Molly dear I hope you feel better. Drink plenty of fluids and rest up. Unfortunately flu vaccine does not always capture every variety of influenza. ♥O

  5. If I got the flu, I would have to listen to hubby nag and nag at me because I never got the flu vaccine. His nagging is worse than any aches or pains gotten from being sick.

I hope you are feeling better soon and hope it was not passed on to your other half. As Chris said, Man flu is awful, really really bad - but mostly for anyone around them.

    Get well soon Molly.

  9. I quote an old friend. 'If you take all cold-cures known to mankind, your cold will last for two weeks. If you take nothing at all, it'll last for 14 days'.

At least you're bound to be well for Christmas. Stay warm. xx

  13. Oh this flu! I hope you are feeling better, Molly. It's bad enough to have aches and chills, but to have those headaches . . . no fun : ( The kids have had the stomach flu all week, and I fought it off this weekend. Can't wait for spring.

  14. You're not supposed to catch flu after having a jab. I haven't had flu ever since my doctor called me in for it.
Are you sure you don't have something else?
    I hope you're getting better.
